Dimitris P. Sotiropoulos, Senior Lecturer in Finance, the Open University Business School, UK.
I am currently the Associate Dean for Research, Enterprise, and Scholarship at the Faculty of Business and Law of the Open University in the UK. My research interests lie at the intersect between political economy, economic history, and the history of economic ideas. My recent research looks into the history of financial innovation and contributes to the understanding of the financialization of capitalist societies, approaching finance as a genuine social and historical process. The main insights of my work draw upon critical political economy and the French radical philosophical tradition of the 1960s and 1970s.
